I’ve had Eurythmics on the brain ever since dancing to Here Comes the Rain Again on Tuesday night in Obamaerobics.  Although I haven’t watched any of this season’s dance competition So You Think You Can Dance, there was a fabulous piece last year to Eurythmics’ 1983 hit Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), performed by Sabra Johnson and Neil Haskell with choreography by Mandy Moore (not the singer/actress).  It’s a power business lunch that shows some fierce negotiating tactics and under-the-table handshakes.  Even though the piece has the “wow” factor and tricks that seem to be requirements for reality TV dance routines, re-watching it reminded me of the intensity that both the dancers and Eurythmics’ music bring to the table (pun intended), as well as the creativity and inventiveness of Ms. Moore.
