Comment on news on the live action version of AKIRA!!! by Kazuki Watanabe
These remakes are shit news in my opinion.. The Americans always do a half-assed job in remaking the original movies. Even though you might not be a huge fan of the originals, the expected remake of AKIRA has a totally different setting and different cast.. it doesn't make any sense, and, frankly, ruins the entire point of the remake. The CASSHERN remake is also pointless in the sense that the original is only a few years old, and consists of top-notch digital animation, 3D effects, perfect score of music, and absolutely flawless acting. So, what's the point of the remake? honestly.
Comment on Bruno for short. Or the complete title….. by You're stupid.
You're a tool. You don't realize that most of the politicians lured into doing the interviews aren't as involved with the media and have absolutely no idea who Sacha Baron Cohen is. Maybe you're just a homophob.

I have no idea. But I think the Trance Republic guys would have a good idea. They've been running some radio shows, I think.

I shouldn't say it, but I do enjoy reading angry and misinformed comments from people who have no grasp of what they are saying. Interestingly though, if that was a surgeon over here then he'd stand a good chance of being struck off for doing that. There are certain lines you don't cross and I think he leapt over it with both feet. However the impression it gives of a 'sue now, ask questions later' are incredible.
Comment on Sony’s 2008 E3 Press Conference by BigMacky
Sony losing exclusivity of FFXIII sucks big time! Not that I am a fan of the game, but FF series is synonymous to the Playstation brand. Now, it just doesn't feel special anymore. And what do we get in return? A crap ass Eternal Sonata. Great. And today, Kotaku has an article about a dude from Microsoft saying Nintendo and Sony have been on "extended vacation". Sadly, I do agree. Before anyone goes thinking I am a Xbox Fanboy, just a note to say I have two Playstation 3 but only one Xbox360 in my home. Sony did not impressed me at E3. Not at all. Enough ranting. Sigh.

Perp, I thought that too. I think the place would be up in arms if it happened here. "However the impression it gives of a ’sue now, ask questions later’ are incredible." How do you mean? From the woman or the commenters?

To a certain extent from both. From the woman in question, it is partially understandable - to a point. However what people fail to realise is that they ultimately pay for the privilege through their insurance anyway, so it isn't really free money if you know what I mean. It makes me laugh when people say 'sue them' etc. Having spent lots of money being sued and then countersuing someone, I know the real life implications of such actions, whereas it seems the majority of pent up internet posters probably don't. It just becomes a throw away comment that is a sad reflection of the times we live in. A few years ago I was involved in a car crash on the outskirts of your steeply town. Luckily I was fine, a little shocked but uninjured. The number of times my insurer suggested a personal injury claim despite knowing I was okay was sickening. I'd like to think most people would do what I did and refuse, but if people see such easy money I think they get tempted by it.

I quite agree with you lock, stock and barrel in that 4/5 rating for it Hedwig. I have said my piece elsewhere so I won't be redundant, but thgis is quite a nice appraisal.

Kudos! You managed to weave tea and "The Dark Knight" into the same paragraph ;) Seriously, I totally get what you are saying though, TDK wasn't anything strikingly new or anything but the way it combines its elements is utterly gripping.

Thank you both :-) I realize, re-reading this, that it really is a rambling mess, and that I actually didn't really say anything about the movie, just my reaction to it. I'll try to get something more coherent up tomorrow. At the same time, now that I've read all the great reviews that have been written (both the positive and the rare negative ones), I have no idea what I could possibly add.

I think they were both very good. Maybe i'm easily impressed? The lineup of games for both systems is exceptional!
