Comment on Poster Talk; Prince Caspian by Lynnie

Erm, somehow, I really doubt that the cast of Narnia would comment.... Lol, so funny though... "We have to play 'Where's Wally' on our own poster!"

Comment on Review for “The Incredible Hulk” by paudiebag

I think the fight at the end between Hulk and Abomination worked really well and I didn't get bored by it. I liked that you coudl see the action also. Not like Transformers where you were never sure what the hell was going on. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Glad they completely ignored the last movie (although I enjoyed that movie also. Gasp*Shock*) Thought the Betty moments were handled really well and thought Hurt, while he had little to do, played the role of Gen. Ross perfectly. With regards to the comparison to Iron Man. Hulk has less obvious flaws ie. it has a proper three act structure and a decent ending. but Iron Man still wins despite it's flaws. A fact I'm mostly going to attribute to Downey Jnr.'s charismatic portrayal of Stark.

Word

blogosity | doctorate | x-posted

I need help with Word. My font size in my thesis Word document is 12pt (as per regulations), and the size of my footnotes is 10pt. I use styles and formatting for all my sizes etc. and I never change anything by using the icons on the menu bars because I know that just messes everything [...]

Comment on Word by missusem

Have you tried working with styles? (I assume you have but anyway...). Open up the 'styles and formatting menu'. Select the text. On your style and formatting menu you will see it will select what style that is. If it selects 'normal' then that is your problem - it is reading the text as 'normal' and then applying the 'normal' style each time it opens it. If it selects something like 'footer', click on the paragraph icon and select 'select all instances'. Click again and select 'modify'. Click 'add to template' if you would like this change to be universal for you for this style. Go right through the 'format' options and change everything you think will be appropriate.

Blind - I didn't read the reply above first...

Comment on Word by Dom

This is why I don't use Word. I hate fighting against it all the time.

Comment on Word by murphyz

Change the font of the document to size 14 so everything is in proportion. Mxx (or send it to me and I'll have a look if you like...you may just be best off copy pasting it all to a brand new document...page by page to see where the error is - which is probably an error in spacing somewhere that filters through to the footnote section.)

Comment on Word by tenderhooligan

missusem, yes, it doesn't seem to want to work. :( murphyz, how do you identify where there are errors? Does your document tell you?

Comment on Word by Perpetual

Can you not set up a style sheet just for this work, with everything set from the outset?

Comment on Word by tenderhooligan

That's what I've done, Perp - I set it all up from the start, but the footnotes will not hold. :(

Comment on Word by Perpetual

The clearly the answer is to not use footnotes :P (I'll have a look and see if I can find a sensible answer this afternoon)

I'm afraid I can't help you but I imagine repeatedly hitting your computer with a book probably will only make matters worse. Just in case you were thinking about it.

This ain’t ghetto

Comment on Cedar Lake’s Spring Season - Final Thoughts by Philip

I also saw both casts for Cedar Lake's programme and I agree with you completely that these are some of the most powerful, unique and gifted dancers on the current New York scene. They're sexy, too...which is always a plus.

Comment on zelda’s past linked by Adam

Hey, My name is Adam, and I found your blog on google today. Great site, I read a good bit of it this morning. I notice that you cover a lot of game that I enjoy, and seem to have a similar approach to video game blogging as me (i.e. not necessarily reviewing the latest games, but reviewing some of the best games and just post general video game thoughts and musings). I was wondering if you would be interested in linking sites, I could link to yours from 8-Bit City (8bitcity.blogspot.com) which is my blog. Anyway, just let me know if you are interested and I'll get a link posted to your site asap. Drop my a line at my email or leave a comment on my blog if you are interested. Thanks, and good luck! “Terminator 4″ Poster? Already?

There you have it. “Becoming Self-Aware Memorial Day 2009.” Aren’t they already self-aware? In the last 3? Especially at the end of the last one? Aren’t we past the point by now of them becoming self aware? Ugh, this is confusing and it hurts my head and it annoys me. However, in the “good” news [...]
