Comment on Why Does Food Taste So Good? by Linzy
If you ever figure out the answer to that question, let me know. ;) My diet philosophy is "Everything in moderation and no deprivation." I follow it pretty strictly. Like if I have a salad for lunch, I can eat chips and chocolate for dinner. :) Okay, well maybe not, but you get the idea. You're doing great with your "diet" plan so keep sticking with it!!

I confess, I swore. I also say "dang it" quite a bit ... forgive me. I know beef isn't inherently bad--but, like, three burgers in one day isn't good.

Did you use the Christian cuss word "crap"? Awww I think you did. Second, what is wrong with beef? It is in the Makers Diet! I stand up for beef! Besides you can buy grass-fed beef at Super Target for way cheap too. Lastly, I do not know why food tastes good but I do know as a mom it is my JOB to teach my kids to chose healthy things so they will not have to deal with the struggles that I have had to. A life time of eating wrong things is certainly culprit, I would think. That is why my kids will learn from young ages to make healthy choices while occasionally enjoying those self-indulgent goodies i moderation. Guess I don't have the magic answer, especially on the heels of a 4th of July cookout that had some tasty morsels.

You're right, I've had a great deal of positive comments from men! One told me I looked like a model. (I'll take it!) My husband loves it too, and I find it very endearing when he caresses my head. I don't know why I ever let it grow back in the first place!

I know how you felt in cutting your hair. I have been wearing my hair in what is called a "bald fade". I remember when I 1st asked by barber at the time to cut it all - he wouldn't do at 1st. He was scared of some repercussion from my husband. Anyway now my hair is cut so short that in cannot be picked up between 2 fingers and I love it. Be prepared to have men comment on it (for whatever reason they seem to love it!) As far as looking like a man, my barber says there is absolutely no way I can be mistaken for a man :)
